Solar Panel Renovation

Removed from boat

Typical damage - wiring protection missing, sealant breached, some solar cells corroded

Preparation - remove loose stuff, clean all surfaces with isocol / acetone, tin electrical bases

New electrical connections

Sealing panel and cable gland - perspex panel and waterproof gland

Clamped while silicone sets - excess silicone is squirted into the damaged areas and the new panel is glued in place

Finished wiring - the panels are mounted back on the boat and the panels are wired together in series

Finished in-situ
